What about the weather affects your joints the most?
The cold? The wind?
The barometric pressure?
The humidity?
Please comment. I am trying to understand how the barometric pressure affects the joints & thus causes pain. Thanks-

I haven't worked my triggers out yet but it's been interesting reading everyone's. I'm in Australia and its very hot atm 35deg Celsius. Interestingly it's been humid today and my pains been nasty with crunching in my shoulder as well.

In San Diego where I live, the weather is pretty mild, but the day before it rains my pains get worse. I went on a trip to Idaho, super cold and snowy, at Christmas and I thought I would die I hurt so bad. I traveled to Miami, hot and humid, and felt fantastic.

Change in the barometer and change in elevation do me in. Also, being in the sun, damn that photosensitivity junk. Cold, cold and wet, cold and damp, these are the worse. Any change in weather triggers…

I honestly feel worse in humidity. When I go to Florida I flare up. Im not sure if it's the plane rides or just the weather there

Thanks friends for your replies here. Since I live in the Northern part of
Iowa, it gets quite cold here usually- in the winter. The cold & wind can
be brutal, as well as the stark weather changes. This year so far, has
been quite mild- but this month & March will be not so mild & I spend
a lot time indoors to stay out of the cold. Hugs, marieanne -

I find anytime there is a change in the normal weather pattern. Almost always before and during a rainfall. I tracked my flare ups for 12 months and it seemed that everytime the season changed I had a flare up

All of the above. The barometric pressure and humidity make my jonts crack and pop, and it hurts something awful. I asked my physical therapist about this, and she said that my bones were actually moving around in the sockets. Weather or not there is snow on the ground, when it is cold out, I always wear warm boots, because as soon as I step one foot on the ground, immediately, the cold shoots directly up to my lower back.
